What Contractors Need to Know: The Impact A2L Refrigerants Will Have on the Design, Installation, and Maintenance of VRF Systems

vrf-webinar.png

All-electric VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) technology offers quiet operation, flexible installation, and scalability, making it energy-efficient and cost-effective by heating or cooling only necessary spaces. VRF systems have become one of the fastest-growing segments of the commercial HVAC industry due to their energy efficiency and superior comfort, with sustainability through electrification further boosting nationwide demand and new regulations in the U.S. requiring low GWP, A2L refrigerants. This session will discuss the A2L refrigerant transition of VRF and Ductless systems and its impacts on the design, installation, and maintenance of hydronic variable refrigerant flow and traditional VRF Systems.

 Learning Objectives:

  • Understand VRF and Ductless Products R-410a refrigerant transition
  • Understand the upcoming timeline for R-410a refrigerant transition for VRF and Ductless Products
  • Understand upcoming changes to design, install, and servicing requirements with A2L refrigerants
  • Learn about an innovative new hybrid system solution: Trane® / Mitsubishi Electric HVRF
