We offer on-site classroom training as well as interactive courses suited to a wide range of skills and expertise, from maintenance technicians through systems designers and engineers.
Our training classes, Trane Engineers Newsletter Live series and continuing education courses are taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors and address a variety of topics such as general air conditioning, controls, building automation and system design.
Trane Education Center (TEC) offers both free and fee-based opportunities including self-paced courses, instructor led trainings, Engineering Newsletter Lives (ENL) and more.
Trane C.D.S. offers both free and fee-based eLearning courses that cover a wide range of load design and energy modeling instruction for both TRACE™ 700 and TRACE 3D Plus™.

What is Trane Education Center and how do I create an account?
The Trane Education Center (TEC) allows users to access and register for courses in all learning centers (Trane University, Engineering, CDS, Local Offices.) To create an account in TEC:
How do I register myself and/or others for a course?
Register Yourself Only: Log into your Trane Education Center account (or if needed, create an account in TEC) and search by course name or use search filters, add to cart and proceed to payment.
Register Someone Else: Do they have an account in Trane Education Center?
If YES...
Login to their account, search for the course, add to cart and proceed to payment. If you do not know their login information email traneeducationcenter@tranetechnologies.com
If NO...
Create an account for the learner (or have them create an account) in Trane Education Center.
Register MULTIPLE learners for a course Does each learner have an account in Trane Education Center?
If YES…
Login to YOUR account, search for the course(s), and add them to the shopping cart. On the first checkout screen, uncheck “Enroll Yourself” and proceed to payment. Once payment is complete, you are directed to go to the "My Orders" page. Select the "Actions" drop down and click "Use Key". You are asked to confirm the course and select whether you are enrolling yourself or others. Then you can apply the keys to the appropriate technicians; to enroll the specific learners, search by TEC account username or last name and select the individual to enroll in the course.
If NO…
Create an account for the learner (or have them create an account) in TEC. When creating multiple accounts, use the option “Submit and Create Another” to save the information from the current entry to the next entry
Where can I find pre-requisites or pre-work information for a course?
From your TEC home page:
Click on the Course Name.
Prerequisites are found on the right side of the course enrollment page.
If the list contains eLearning modules, go back to your TEC home page
Type the module course name key words into the search field
Click Search, then Enroll.
How do I know if I completed a course and print a certificate?
From your TEC home page:
select the My Learning drop down
Click on My Learning History.
Locate the course and check for a "Completed" status or a Certificate button.
