Heat pumps pull heat from many sources— such as the air, ground and waste heat— and use it to heat a building in the colder months, offer hot water for processes or provide domestic hot water.
If cooling is needed, heat pumps can operate in reverse and use the refrigerant cycle to cool a building in warmer months.
Because heat pumps don’t generate heat and simply move heat, they can be 2 to 8 times more efficient than other forms of electric or gas heating.
