Thermafit™ MWS offers scalable design, simultaneous heating/cooling, and operational redundancy for optimal performance and reliability in multi-pipe systems.

Product Information

  • Three independent brazed plate heat exchangers for each loop - cooling, heating, source
  • Tandem Compressor: Enhances efficiency and reliability by using dual compressors. 
  • Automatic isolation valves for variable flow operation
  • Integral hydronic header with factory installed strainer, automatic isolation valves, flow switch, and temperature sensors, reducing field piping and complexity
  • Optional Features: Includes fused or non-fused disconnect switch, power distribution panel, BMS integration, and acoustical panels for customization and enhanced functionality.
  • Capacity Range: 30-60 tons (432-842 MBH) per module, (3-10 modules per bank), 450-7200 MBH
  • Operating Map:
    • Cooling only: Chilled water 42°F to 65°F (Source 60°F to 140°F)
    • Heating only: Hot water 60°F to 140°F (Source 30°F to 70°F)
    • Simultaneous: Chilled water 42°F to 65°F, hot water 60°F to 140°F
  • Compressor: Tandem-set fixed-speed scroll
  • Refrigerant: Next-gen, low-GWP R-454B

Multi-pipe systems can provide 100% cooling, 100% heating, or simultaneous heating and cooling, allowing bank to control to independent chilled water and hot water setpoints. These systems have 3 fluid loops - cooling, heating, and geothermal.

During cooling mode, modules operate as standard water-cooled chiller and reject heat to the geothermal loop. In heating mode, modules reverse refrigerant flow and act as a water-source heat pump, extracting heat from the geothermal loop. In simultaneous mode, waste heat is captured from cooling cycle and repurposed to produce hot water.
